  1. Download Huawei P8 Lite Firmware (ALE-L04) Only for US Model and extract this file.
    *If you use another P8 LITE version or country, to get file firmware for you phone. just copy this link change /us/ to /jp/ if you from japan, france to /fr/, New Zealand to /nz/ for more iso code see this
  2. Copy the entire dload folder (with UPDATE.APP in it) to the root directory of the Micro SD card.
  3. Make sure your handset is power off.
  4. Insert the Micro SD card into the handset.
  5. Press the VOLUME UP and VOLUME DOWN key, and then press the POWER key to power on the phone and enter the Software Upgrade Mode.
  6. When the progress bar stops, the phone will automatically power OFF.
  7. Press POWER key to get the Device POWER ON.

– If still bootloop, Turn OFF your phone. Now press and hold the following buttons for a few seconds, all at the same time: Power + Volume Up. and choose Wipe Data and Cache.Reboot

  1. Ok I found out that dload is a file you must create and copy and pase UPDATE.APP into it. dload will only contain UPDATE.APP. Then you will just paste it into the SD card (not into a file inside the SD card) – which means it is in the root directory like for eg. DCIM. Here’s what I did differently:
    Since the links provided didn’t seem to work for me I downloaded from another one. I would link it here but could not find it. Google it and make sure it’s for P8 and the same EMUI (if I can recall correctly, 5.1 is the latest at the time of writing).

    Unlike what is said above, I DID NOT lose ANY data from my SD card nor my internal storage. It just didn’t factory reset my phone. BUT (!!!) just to be sure, make a backup so that you don’t end up factory resetting your entire phone losing all your data.

  6. Thanks I have tried all of the above my phone updates from the sd card and says it will restart but it goes back it a loop when it restarts
