How to increase RAM on Infinix using MemFusion feature

Infinix has now become one of the most successful smartphone manufacturers, because the specifications and prices they offer are cheaper than other brands.

In terms of technology, Infinix is also trying to catch up. They continue to follow the latest technology trends. One of the trends this year is the virtual RAM boost feature.

In general, almost all manufacturers have included the RAM boost feature in each of their latest smartphones. In Infinix, this feature is called MemFusion. Broadly speaking, this feature creates virtual RAM from the phone’s memory.

For more details regarding virtual RAM, please see what we share below.

What is Virtual RAM?

Virtual RAM is a technology that uses part of the device’s internal memory. Of course, this increases the capacity of the Android smartphone to accommodate a few more applications in memory.

Virtual RAM is claimed to speed up some tasks and make the phone feel faster, but of course the difference with the original RAM (physical) will not be significant. This is because memory or ROM has a slower read and write speed than physical RAM.

With virtual RAM, the number of applications that can be stored will be even greater, but keep in mind that there are several other factors that determine this, such as memory management, software optimization, the type of application being used, and so on.

What is MemFusion in Infinix?

MemFusion is a feature that allows users to create virtual RAM from the internal memory of Infinix smartphones. Users can set the desired amount from 2GB, 3GB and 5GB.

This RAM boosting feature is embedded by Infinix in some of its latest phones like the Infinix Note 11, Infinix Hot 11s and so on. This feature will automatically use the phone’s memory, if you choose a virtual RAM of 5GB, the internal memory will also decrease by that much.

How to increase the RAM capacity on your Infinix

As we explained above, you only need to enable the MemFusion feature on your Infinix smartphone if the phone is equipped with it. For those whose smartphones do not have this feature, you can use the additional applications that we will show you below.

Use the MemFusion feature

increase RAM on Infinix phones using MemFusion

Here’s how to increase RAM on Infinix phones using MemFusion:

  1. Go to the Settings menu.
  2. Then scroll down and select Storage.
  3. After that tap MemFusion.
  4. Then activate MemFusion by sliding the slider to the On position.
  5. Next step tap Set Virtual RAM and choose between 2GB, 3GB or 5GB.
  6. Next tap OK and select Restart.

Using the Swap No Root App

You can use the Swap No Root application to create virtual RAM like the built-in FusiMem feature. You can use this application even if your Infinix phone is not rooted.

  1. First download and install the Swap No Root app from the Google Play Store.
  2. Launch the app then fill in the Swap Size column with the amount of RAM you want in MB.
  3. After that tap Crate Swap which is blue.
  4. The next step is to tap Watch Ad to gain 1 energy then an ad will appear for a few moments.
  5. Next, a notification will appear to create virtual RAM and please tap the Yes button.
  6. Wait for the process to finish.

However, the virtual RAM of this app is not readable in the settings. So, you only feel the changes when playing games or running heavy applications.

RAM Booster (Memory Cleaner)

RAM Booster is a great app for increasing the RAM of an Android phone. You can clean RAM and increase phone speed. It can also monitor which apps are using more memory and how many junk files are available on the device.

After monitoring the entire file, you can remove junk data and rarely used apps from the smartphone. RAM booster also provides many features including ram booster widget, CPU & Battery widget.

The floating window can show RAM usage and CPU temperature. Ram booster will sound an alarm when the phone overheats.

Smart RAM Booster

RAM Booster is an app designed to solve phone RAM issues by selectively stopping less important apps running in the background that consume a lot of device memory.

Smart RAM Booster works with 4 levels:

Gentle: Kills only apps that use a lot of memory.

Medium: Reduces the number of apps that use more memory than average.

Strong: Kills low-priority apps that use less memory than average.

Aggressive: Kills most of the low-priority apps.

Conclusion

The MemFusion feature, as long as I used it for a few days, was quite useful for handling heavy tasks. Although I had to sacrifice the internal storage to become virtual RAM.

For users who haven’t gotten the MemFusion feature to add RAM virtually on Infinix, you can still try using the third-party apps I mentioned above.

These are some tips for increasing RAM on Infinix both without root and with root access.
